Board Exam Fear- Tips to Cope with Board Exam Anxiety




Class 12 CBSE Board Exam is one of the crucial examinations in the life of any student.
Many students suffering from sleepless nights even after good preparation of board exams. Students tackled with two or three sets of pre-board exams that were released by CBSE board. 

Students work hard out the year to perform well in the exam. However many times it often is seen that students get nervous when the exam is at the edge of the corner.

Here some tips that help you to cope math anxiety.

Recognise the weak area of Subject: Exam consists of many subjects such as Science, Mathematics, social science, English and many more. Every subject has its own importance. Some students are good in science, some are good in mathematics. There hardly very few students who are good in all subjects. Thus, knowing your weak area helps you to overcome your exam anxiety. 

Set a small target:  Set your goal. It is a good idea of setting a goal, and you can make them more attainable and realistic by breaking them down. Setting a smaller goal will make target easier and as a result, you are able to achieve your goal. Celebrate every success for every goal, no matter how big and small it was. Celebrating achievement of every goal motivates you for doing bit difficult task than before. Also, monitoring your progress gives you the clear map of your goal that you have outlined.

Good reference books: Before starting your course check that you have good reference books. Without having a good reference book you are not going to cope with your math problem. Don’t forget to cover your NCERT books for class 12 and previous exam paper 12 political science. It provides you, step by step method to understand the pattern of exam. The example problem design in NCERT in such a way that student easily understands the question and a way to solving the problem of that kind of particular questions.

Practice more: Practice makes man perfect. Everyone is familiar with this particular proverb. The exam is all about practice. More you put your efforts in it easily you cope with the exam anxiety. Keep up with your work. If you attend class regularly, keep up with readings, and take notes conscientiously. Regular studying can be a relatively easier than last moment studying. Make sure to review and expand upon class notes regularly throughout the semester.

A study in group: Find a group of dedicated students with whom to study. A group study session is an ideal time to review and compare notes, ask each other questions, explain ideas to one another, discuss the upcoming exam and difficult concepts, and, when appropriate, delegate study tasks. Do set an agenda and a specific time frame for your group study session, so that your work together doesn't veer off-topic.

Don’t underestimate yourself: No doubt, Exam is full of difficulties. In many areas, the concepts of few subjects just go over from your head. So don’t lose hope while you face such kind of problem. You must remember what Swami Vivekananda said, " 'Have faith in yourself first - all power is in you - be conscious and bring it out. Say, 'I can do everything.' 'Even the poison of a snake is powerless if you can firmly deny it." Rise above any iota of negativity or self-doubt.
